Custom blinds
Custom fit, at the price people expect to pay for stock.
A blind cut to your opening rather than to the nearest inch closes flat, sits level, and stops throwing light up the wall at the edges. It is the least expensive thing we hang and still nothing like the one in the box.
Why bother going custom
The gap at the edge is the whole story.
A stock blind is built to a standard width and then trimmed, or simply hung slightly too small. What you get is a strip of daylight down each side, slats that do not quite close, and a headrail that never looks level because it isn't.
Ours are built to the opening we measured, to the millimeter. They close flat, the light stops where the frame stops, and the whole thing reads as part of the window rather than something propped in front of it.
We are straight about where blinds sit in the range: they are our entry product, and for a spare room, a basement, an office or a rental they are often exactly the right call. What we will not do is sell you a blind on a window that wants a shutter, or the reverse.

The material choice is mostly about moisture and weight; the fit is the same regardless.
Faux-wood blinds
Reads as painted wood, ignores moisture entirely. The right answer for bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and basements, and the most popular blind we install by a distance.
Aluminum mini blinds
Slim slats in a wide colour range. Least expensive, lowest profile, and the usual choice for offices, rentals and secondary windows where budget genuinely is the driver.
Vertical blinds & sliders
Vanes that draw sideways, for patio doors and wide openings where a horizontal blind would have to be lifted every time you walk outside.
Lift and tilt
Cordless and wand-tilt, especially with children in the house.
Cordless lift and wand tilt are available across the blind range, and we quote them as standard where there are young children or pets. There is no version of this where a looped cord in a child's room is worth the saving.
Every blind is installed by us — brackets level, headrail square, valance on, packaging gone — and carries the same lifetime service warranty as everything else we hang. If a slat breaks or a tilt mechanism fails on something we installed, we come back and make it right.

What's the difference between wood and faux-wood blinds?
Real wood is lighter and warmer-looking, which keeps wide blinds hanging straight and takes a stain faux wood can't match. Faux wood ignores moisture completely, so it's what goes in bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and basements — where real wood will eventually warp. Faux wood is also less expensive, which is why it's the blind we install most.
Are custom blinds much more expensive than store-bought?
Less than most people assume, and they're our entry product — the least expensive thing we hang. What you're paying for is a blind cut to your opening rather than to the nearest inch, plus professional measuring and installation. Every quote is per window after a free in-home measure.
Can blinds go in a bathroom?
Faux-wood and aluminum, yes — both shrug off humidity. Real wood in a bathroom will warp eventually, no matter how well it's finished, so we won't quote it there. If you want the look of wood in a wet room, faux wood in a matching paint is the honest substitute.
What about blinds for a sliding patio door?
Vertical blinds are the usual answer: the vanes draw sideways so you're not lifting a blind every time you step outside. Bypass shutter panels and wide roller shades also work on sliders, and cost more. We'll show you all three at the consultation.
Do you install the blinds, or is it drop-off?
We install, always — nothing is dropped off in a box. Brackets level, headrail square, valance on, packaging out with us. It's covered by the same lifetime service warranty as everything else we hang.
