We come to you in Haverford, PA with samples, measure every window properly and quote on the spot — free, and with no obligation. Installed by our own team, warranted for life.
Haverford homes
Haverford runs to large older homes on mature, well-treed lots — the kind of setting where the surrounding planting does a fair amount of the privacy work already, and the window treatment is asked to do something else.
What it is usually asked to do is manage light without making the rooms dark. Mature trees plus deep porches already cut a lot of daylight, so heavy fabric can tip a room from cosy to gloomy. Light-filtering rather than blackout is the right default in most of these houses, bedrooms excepted.
What we fit
Everything is built to the measured opening rather than cut down from a stock size, and everything is installed by the same people who measured it.
Hardwood louvers built to the opening, which matters when the opening is 150 years old and square nowhere. Hung on a frame that hides the out-of-plumb.
Insulating cell shades for single-glazed sash windows, and soft Roman folds where a hard treatment would fight the trim.
For the tall stairwell and transom windows these houses are full of — the ones nobody has touched since they moved in.

Questions
Blackout in bedrooms, light-filtering nearly everywhere else. Blackout fabric in a living room on a shaded lot makes the room feel closed even when the shades are up, because the fabric reads as solid. We bring both to hold against your window so you can see the difference in your own light.
Yes, and there is no obligation attached to it. We bring samples to your home, measure every window professionally and quote on the spot, with current promotions applied. Evenings and Saturdays included. If you decide against it at the end, that is a perfectly normal outcome and it costs you nothing.
Usually two to four weeks from measure to install, depending on the product and how busy the workrooms are. Shutters take longest because they are built to your openings; most shades are quicker. We give you a realistic date at the quote rather than an optimistic one.
